Understanding Neurodivergence: A Different Way of Experiencing the World

Consellor Haywards Heath

More people are beginning to recognise that they may be neurodivergent, whether through experiences of ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or other differences in how the brain processes information and experiences the world.

Being neurodivergent is not something that needs to be "fixed". However, many neurodivergent people can experience challenges such as anxiety, overwhelm, masking, burnout, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, or feeling misunderstood by others.

Therapy can provide a supportive and non-judgemental space to explore these experiences. Together, we can look at patterns that may be causing distress, develop greater self-understanding, and find practical ways to navigate daily life more comfortably.

As a counsellor working with clients in Lindfield, Haywards Heath, and across West Sussex, I offer a compassionate environment where neurodivergent individuals can feel heard, accepted, and understood. Sessions are available both in person and online.

If you are wondering whether counselling could help, I welcome you to get in touch for an informal conversation about your needs.
